Can I use my smart phone to substitute for an air card?

By jstoeser ·
Seems like I should be able to use my smart phone (BlackBerry) to perform the same function as an air card. Both essentially provide a wireless network connection through my provider. Is there any device, adapter or app that would allow me to do this and avoid charges for both services?

There is a new carrier whose phones have a free tethering option giving you access as part of their unlimited plan which is only $89.95 for unlimited talk, web, and data. The company is Wow Mobile. It is currently using T-Mobile but plans to expand in January 2010. Find out more @ www.twowmobile.com.
