can motion sensors work with other systems?

I have a driveway/ perimeter alert system. It can accommodate 6 sensors, but I only have one. I do have several other motion sensors from other security systems not in use. Is it possible to alter them to work with my perimeter alert system?

Unlikely they work, unless they use the same hardware connections (or WiFi) and have exactly the same software interface with the central system.

Unlikely, moreover, that you have the information and the tools to change one of those if they don’t work as they are now.

But in reality, few can adapt or have the documentation needed to accomplish this. Frankly the cheap fix is to get more sensors from the system you like or use and complete your system.

Apart from using too many motion sensors, it’s better to use one motion sensor that gives you what you needed.
