What's in that folder?

by SteveF68 In reply to can not access MBX folder

The default installation directory for Exchnage is Program Files\EXCHSRVR. After you installed exchange you should have a new program group in your start menu for Exchange that contains the Exchange System Manager. Also when you created the users, did you create their exchange mailboxes? The actual database files will be in Program Files\EXCHSRVR\MBDDATA and will be called pub.edb and priv.edb. So my question is what exactly are you trying to do?

Installing Exchange 2000

What I am trying to do is create user accounts for our email Outlook 2000. I did create their mailbox by accepting the default "Create An Exchange Mailbox". When I went to MBX folder the mailbox for the users I juste created not there and all I saw was "SystemMailbox{34D6D612-5E4E-4f4a.....". When I click on it it says "not Accessible". The pub.edb and priv.edb are created. I will keep working on it. Thank you very much for returning my message!
