One of my customer brought HP compaq 6515b laptop. The problem was that it askinng for power on password at start up. The customer did not put any password. I clear it by removing CMOS battery and this solved the problem. But after 2 or 3 reboot I was trying to go safe mode, by keep pressing F8 suddnly it agian asking me for power on password. I think by pressing for F8 add the pasword I don’t know why. Now the next problem I see is the Hard drive is not reconizing, when i power it on it goes to a black screen with HP logo and windows vista product key on the top and F9 boot menu F10 Bios setup and F12 network boot, but none of the option work, I dont know why. I some time the hard drive reconize, then I can go to any of this option. Can some one help me out. It has windows vista home basic.
