CAN NOT JOIN PC / LAPTOP TO A DOMAIN

I am trying to add a PC and a Laptop (both running XP Prof) to a Domain, (server running Server 2003 with SP2) and this is the error I get:
The following error occured attempting to join the domain “XXXXX” :
The specified server can not perform the required operation. Where XXXXX is the domain name.
