Can not open MAIL icon in Control Panel

By jmanning ·
I am running windows 98 first edition on a Packard Bell computer. Intel Celeron 350 mhz processor, 64 MB Ram. Problem is I can not open the MAIL icon found in the control panel. I would like to set mail server properties but can not. I get an error message: "you don't have enough memory"
So I close all programs using msconfig, but still get same message. What can I do to correct the problem.

Clean up all your tmp & temp files. Free up space on your boot drive.

Close all open applications by using
( Ctrl+ Alt + Del )
End task on all the applications except:
Explorer and Systray
Then go out and by another 64meg stick of RAM. Its really cheap this days and a great bang for your buck.

Good Luck!
