Can ping repeater but not connect to internet

    Hi there!
I have a Tecknet WiFi repeater and it has been working fine until I accidentally unplugged it the other day. I am now at the point where I can ping the repeater by IP address wirelessly but I cannot browse the internet. I have tried:
    – resetting the repeater
    – resetting the router
    – pressing the wps button on the repeater
    – pressing the wps button on the router

I have called Sky who provide my internet service and my router but their wait times are 45 minutes…I was thinking maybe if I knew the IP of my router, there would be an admin page I could browse to which might help me although I don’t know what I would try as its not like the repeater is a new device. Any help would be appreciated! ?

      Hi everyone

So I managed to get through to Sky and get onto my router and the repeater is not showing as a WPS device and won’t seem to add. As I really need this working, Sky provide a booster for a one off payment of £9.99 and it will be with me tomorrow so I’ve decided to do that. No idea if it will be good enough but if its crap I’ve been told they’ll refund me and at least they support it.

      Have a good day!

It’s conceivable to interface with your remote switch and still have no web association. This happens when there’s an issue with the switch’s association with your ISP, so it’ll chip away at the organization however won’t have a legitimate public IP address as it can’t arrive at the web.
