Hi, recently I posted this question but I didn’t get a deep explanation of why it can not be done. Here is a copuy of the previous question’s content:
“Hi to you all. I have a HDD with several partitions due to different applications being run on each. Recently I installed XP PRO on 3 of them and I ended up having a problem with the Master Boot Records being all installed on partition C:.
I would like to know if is possible to install the same OS, including master boot record, let’s say in the same drive where the OS is being install. For example, if a install xp on drive F:, can I configure somehow the installation to end up having my boot recors in f: as welll?. Thanks in advance…
P.S.: Reason of why I have several partitions is due to different applications install on each:
– C:\ = Personal Use.
– D:\ = Multemida Edition
– F:\ = Games
– G:\ = Others.
So if one of them goes bad for any reason there’s a good chance it won’t ruin the files on the other partitions.”
