Can two different version of SNMP be used on the same network?

By printergirl ·
Hello,

I am curious to find out if you can use two different versions of SNMP on one network? For example, SNMPv1 for desktops and SNMPv3 for printers? Or does the same version need to be run company wide?

Thanks!

Yes you can

You can use all three versions on the same network no problem. All you need to make sure is that the software doing the querying is set at the same version as the device its doing the query to.
