Can Ubuntu be connected to a Windows 7 Homegroup

The recent article on connecting XP and Vista to a Windows 7 Homegroup prompts me to ask if there is any way a pc running Ubuntu can also be connected

I figured you need Samba on the Linux machines. A quick google confirmed it: http://www.7tutorials.com/how-change-workgroup-ubuntu-linux-work-windows

Not as far as I have seen in the samba config file.
