cannot access any ms office products, says they are not installed for current user.

By judeg ·
I don't know how to access any ms programs. I did another clean install of all office but as soon as I turn off the computer and turn it back on I get the same message. it starts to install then says not installed for current user. I am the administrator and the only user. Could the auto updates from micro soft have caused this.
any help anyone has would be greatly appreciated.
thank you

Where the shortcuts you are using preexist the current installation?

Try using the shortcuts from the start-->all programs menu.
I made this mistake once trying to start word from an old desktop shortcut that was improperly linked to the new copy of office.

Try installing it by going to Control Panel -> Add/Remove Programs -> Click Add New Program -> Click CD/Floppy -> Click Next.
It will then find your CD and install. See if that works.

Good luck!

Make sure that you have selected the programs you want installed. Microsoft is not intuitive when it comes to installing software. When you think you are installing you, you aren't.

It depends on the os you use ,if you are using microsoft XP,here is the solution.
you have indicated that you are the only user so,wouldn't have given a password to login.so, create a password for the admin .Then login using that password ,this is related with the XP password .then try to do(access) the ms.
