cannot access internet

hi,
i have windows xp sp2,hp laptop,whenever i try to access the net using lan cable,my computer is unable to register on the network,the output of ipconfig/all is
[-] mapping_data_source::init error: file not found

That is a Private address assigned randomly because your computer does not have an IP address manually specified or it can not reach an active DHCP server to get a valid IP address.

Your ip address is wrong....

Get hold of another router (if possible) and then connect your computer to it. If you are at work then ask your Admin for help for your connection.

Your IP address of; 169.254.65.40, is wrong.
It happens when you unplug and re-attach your router and it can not get a connection it defaults to this address (sometimes).

Test another router and give the old one the boot.
