NT server 4.0 SP6a after reboot we get the following errors any help would be great

Thanks

Services.exe - entry point not found.
The procedure entry point I_ScPnPGetServiceName could not be located in the dynamic link library ADVAPI32.dll

Click OK to this message then you get :

SASWindow : Winlogon.exe - entry point not found.
The procedure entry point I_ScPnPGetServiceName could not be located in the dynamic link library ADVAPI32.dll

Click OK to this, you get :

userinit.exe - entry point not found.
The procedure entry point I_ScPnPGetServiceName could not be located in the dynamic link library ADVAPI32.dll

There are a few icons which if I right hand click, nothing happens eg, services, network (from control panel) and server manager. In fact when I select server manager I get another error

servmgr.exe - entry point not found.
The procedure entry point I_ScPnPGetServiceName could not be located in the dynamic link library ADVAPI32.dll

Same error ...... different exe.

The ADVAPI32.dll file is mostly likely corrupt or missing. If you have another server that is operating correctly I would suggest locating this file on the working server and copying over to the same location on the server having issues. Make sure however that the server that you copy the file from is at the same service pack level as the one it is being copied to.
