Cannot boot HTPC with HDMI – does not show windows with VGA

by kjellisak . Updated 17 years, 2 months ago

I have just built a new HTPC base don ASUS P5Q-EM motherboard with Intels X4500HD graphics media accelerator integrated. I have installed Windows XP SP3.

It works fine with my dell monitor, but does not work with my Panasonic TH-42PZ70EA television.

When using the HDMI cable, the PC will not boot at all.
When only using a VGA cable the PC boots, show the BIOS, Show the windows starting screen, but does not show the login screen it only goes blank after the initial windows startup progress bar screen.
I have downloaded the latest driver from Intel and ASUS.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!
