I have a BDC which serves as a file server.It’s running NT4 sp6a. The hard drives are partitioned as C:, D:, E: and H:
E: is shared and is for teachers. H: is the user’s Home directory to store user folders for students. There is a folder called “Network Trash Folder” in each of the E: and H: drive. They’re different folders because they’re in different location and they have different contents. I can delete what’s in the folders but not the folders itself. I’ve checked the permission on the folder that only admin has access to it. I also have taken ownership of the folder to make sure I as an admin has right to it. But I cannot delete these folders. When I try to delete it, it give me a error message saying ” Cannot remove folder : Therehas been a sharing violation. The source or destination file may be in use. ” But The folder is not shared and there is nothing inside the folder now. But students can still store stuff in the folders. How can I find out what’s stopping me fromdeleting them ? Or How can I delete them ? Thanks.
