I found an 8gb hard drive with NT on it that I wanted to fdisk and format.I used fdisk to view the partition details – 2gb primary (fat16) and 6gb extended (unformatted). The extended partition had no logical drives defined. Yet when I went to delete it, I was unable to, and received a message stating that I could not delete an extended partition while it contained logical drives. Any help or thoughts on this would be appreciated. I don’t think the type of operating system on the hard disk is relevant, I know somebody who encountered the same problem with a W98 disk.
