Cannot install Adobe Standard 6.0 on XP

Hi Guys,

Hope u have some suggestions. I am trying to install the program above so that I can create PDF files but am having some trouble installing this on my XP machine. When running the install, the following error comes up “error 1317, an error occured while trying to create the directory c:\….\adobe\plug_ins. I have tried this on another XP PC which is fine, I have removed all possible conflicting software from the PC and deleted all adobe entries from the registy before beginning the install. I am not in a position to run a re-install of windows so am looking for some other solution.
