Cannot install XP in a HP s3220la

I have a couple of PC that came with vista and I need to downgrade to XP. Every time I was trying to start the pc with my XP cd show me a blue screen, I tried with my 2003 server and same problem. I thought that was the vista partition, so I start with my ubuntu cd, format the HD delete the partition and I still have the problem…
I ran off ideas…
Please some help required here
