THE REST OF THE NETWORK IS RUNNING EITHER NT 3.51 OR 4.O THE PDC IS RUNNING ON 3.51. I CAN PING THE PDC AND EVERYTHING ELSE, I WOULD APPRECIATE ANY SUGGESTIONS THANKS IN ADVANCE TOM

Create a computer account on the NT server for the laptop (computer name) using server manager. Then from the laptop change the network settings from workgroup to domain - you need Domain admin priviledges/rights to join a domain. Reboot and you should be able to join the domain. Ensure that you are using the same protocols for the domain.

Good luck

Tom,

I have w2k running on my network.
To join the network, right-click on Network places (on the desktop) select properties, Click on advanced, network identification, and at the botton select domain and enter the domain name, make sure you join the network using the admin username and password.
