    Cannot log into Server 2003 @ admin screen.

    After an update series (coincidental?), I asked the night staff to restart my server when we closed. Next morning, I could not log into primary admin login at all. Invalid username and password on all attempts, guest account is locked, personal account same thing. I have stripped the password out of the SAM directory, but to no avail.

      change anything in Winlogon? LogonUI, MSgina, sclgntfy, antivirus logon, etc.?

      You may want to check the reg entries and files for these with something like Autoruns on a live CD.

      Possibly the profiles have been corrupted. Did the night staff (IT?) restart the server properly? Did they try to log on until GP locked the system for bad login attempts?

      Just guessin’ here.
