I have an RT311 router connecting my network to the internet. I have a pc on the network that needs to be able to be a PCAnywhere host. The ports for PC anywhere are set and in the netgear rt311 router the ports are forwarded to the ip address of the pc running the Host for PCAnywhere.
Inside the network I can see that the port for PCAnywhere is open by typing telnet 192.168.xxx.xxx 5631. But when I try the same thing with an external address 65.73.xxx.xxx 5631 it says that the port connection is closed. It is like the ports on the router (netgear rt311) are not accessable. I need this to work soon. otherwise I’ll have to “go to my pc”
