Hi,

We are using DHCP in which WINS, DNS and Node type parameter is assigned. In Node type it is been given Hybrid but when i see in the client configuration it's shows broadcast WHich in turn effect my local printing. As we r using ERP and printing setting is \\localcomputername\lpt1,
so as \\localcomputer name is been not resolved its gives an error : An extended error has occured and simultanously effets the printing.

So please suggest.......

Cannot resolve netbios name locally

Check the network properties of the workstation where the problem is happening. The workstation is probably not configured properly to use DHCP. Depending upon the workstation operating system, the options are different, but just be sure that the TCP/IP protocol properties are set to use DHCP (does NOT have a static IP address assigned) and that there are no WINS or DNS server IP address settings on the workstation itself. Once this is done, release the IP settings on the workstation (ipconfig /release) and then reboot. The workstation should now connect properly with the DHCP server and get the settings from there. Hope this helps!
