I have a PB system running W95 and the CD would not run. In a previous post I was given an answer that worked. I used the W98 boot disk and it found the CD. I replaced the original Cd with a known good one and it is found with the W98 boot disk. PROBLEM, The packard bell restore diskett in the A:drive wont find the Cd and will not proceed with the restore using the CD. With theW98 boot disk I am able to read the PB restore Cd but am unable to run it. I tried setup, install and run and nothing. None of the directories lists anything that looks like the place to start. The following is from the previous ? to update anyone interested.

I have a Packard Bell computer in my shop that has two yellow exclamation points in DM on IDe 1 and IDE 2.The system is running W95B. My problem is trying to run the PB restore disk.I understand PB uses proprietary IDE controllers and I need to reinstall. The cd rom will not work in windows 95B or in dos.I have switched cd roms with a known good one and still it wont work. The hard drive on Primary will see the HD but will not see the cd rom if I put it as slave. All jumpers wherever I install it are correct. The cd rom is seen in bios and found during windows boot but does not show up in DM or in My Computer. I have switched cables.

In autoexec.bat is says

It looks to me that this information is not in jist with whats going on.
