So I won’t get anyone confused I will number the Harddrives I am talking about:
I have hooked up an IDE harddrive(1) to my PC which runs XP off a SATA harddrive(3). It works fine.
I have another slightly older IDE hardrive(2) that used to be IDE hd(1)’s slave.
When I tried to hook it(2) up to transfer data to SATA hd(3) XP found the harddrive and said it had been installed, but when I go to My Computer it’s not listed.
What can be wrong? I have used the same cables for the hd that worked.
