canon i560 color printing unstable

When we tried to print color, it hss 2 problems:
1. All color areas print like a double exposed photo.
2. Also prints part of the page and bottom of 1st page on a second page.
Changed to another i560 Canon and got same problems.
New drivers from Canon installed...same problems.
Both printers work fine in color & B/W on another computer.
Printer test page prints OK.
All setup and registration has been done twice.

Then you have identified that it is indeed the drivers on that one system. You will need to hunt down the files and delete them.
then reinstall. Sometimes reinstalling alone does not solve the issue.

Just as an additional thought... does that system print okay to another printer? Is the printer directly attached? Could be a bad port, coule need the port set to a unidirectional or bidirectional mode in BIOS.

As I noted, the drivers were replaced after deletion.
Thanks. The possible port problem is being researched. The system is in Chicago and I'm in Anaheim.

yes, i agree. i'd be asking the customer right about now if they knew if a different canon printer had been previously installed on this computer. i would research this problem on the canon website. i would closely at the file level compare the drivers on bad and good computer

Thanks Sarge. Since this is a used Dell computer, it's possible that a previous printer/driver could be interfering. This also has to be checked. Customer is in Chicago and I'm in Anaheim. You rate some points but this system will close the question if I accept your answer.
