Canon imageRunner with PCL6 drivers prints out oddly

By skatzen ·
We just updated the printer drivers on our Canon imageRunner 3045. Since then, we printing from some applications the font has the letters overlapping so as to make the words look scrunched together. We don't want to revert back to the old drivers since this printer needs to be available through a terminal service which has the updated drivers already. Anyone come across this issue and know how to correct it? The systems using the printer are Windows XP SP3.

Yep I've seen that previously

But it's always been the drivers not suiting the fonts being used in the documents being printer.

Sorry but the only solution that I have ever heard of was to revert back to the Drivers that worked.

Some things to try

First check your printers to see if are using true Canon refills. It may save money at first glance but fake refills will cause many problems. Next check each printer to see what it supports. And check the web site for updates.
