Can't access my win2k from my winXP

I get the following message when trying to access my win2k sys. from winXP and in reverse.
Can anybody help?????

Please send responce to both addresses.

No message. :) However, I have had problems witn XP and mapping drives. Go on your Windows XP machine and I believe its tools/options. I could be wrong, don't have the XP machine in front of me. Anyway, look for "simple networking" or mapping, it will say one of the two, and check the box. Then reboot your XP machine. It should work fine now. Hope this helps.

message follow: \\desk2000w\d_drive is not accesssible.You might not have permission to use this network resoures. Contact the administrator of this server to find out if you have access permissions.

then I get the following: Not enough server storage is available to process this command.

Are you running McAfee or a Norton firewall. If so, make certain the following:
1. Change the security level of McAfee to "Open No Filtering" and reboot. If that works, you may need to modify the port settings allowing NetBios.

2. Make certain the WinXP Firewall setting is not checked. Go to the properties settings of your Adapter settings and click on the Advanced tab.
