When you logged onto the ME system, you either used an account with no network access. Did you (on logon) cancel the password for access to the network? This is not to uncommon. The fix, log off, and log back in, but do not cancel the password to access the network.

Is your account also a local account on the ME machine? Have you set the ME machine to allow your account access to the resources stored on it?

Good luck

Make sure the XP system has the login name and password that is used on ME. The windows 98 PC probably has a login that is listed included for XP.
