HELP!!!!
I have a guy who is trying to get 40 Compaq PC’s onto a network and is
getting the following error: “Can’t Access This Folder. Path Is Too Long”,
from 2 out of the 3 accounts that they use (Group accounts, ex: desktop,
agentdesk, custservicedesk,) the custservicedesk account works perfectly,
users are able to login, and the logon.bat file runs, but with the other 2
accounts the PC freezes with a Windows box stating the error above, and at
that point the user has to logout and log back on to the PC, (the user is
able to run these batch files from the run command when he logs
into the PC
as Administrator) the user has tried to create new dummy accounts but none
of them work, I have checked IQ2000 (no reference) MS Technet (there is a
reference to this error [Q157069]but only on NTFS drives, and the user has
FAT)
Server is running NT4 SP5
Users have Static IP addresses
These PC’s are sharing a network with Dell PC’s (win NT4 SP 5) and all of
them are working
