can’t access trusted server

by cj_mcnix . Updated 25 years, 5 months ago

2 PDCs across DSL link.

ServerA: 99.99.103.1 / 255.255.255.192
ServerB: 99.99.108.1 / 255.255.255.240

Complete trust. ServerA running WINS.

I am at ServerB. I can see the ServerA Domain in Network Neighborhood, but can’t see ServerA itself. When I add ServerA to my LMHOSTS file, I can see ServerA, but I can’t access resources.

This worked at one time, with same IP range on A and B running the DSL as a bridge. The new arrangement uses a Cisco on the ServerA end acting as an I-net router as well as WAN router. From Domain B, I *can* access the router in Domain A for i-net access, so I know the link is up.

When I tried to right click> PROPERTIES on ServerA, I got an error message “does not accept remote requests”

Added WINS to ServerB, but still can’t add ServerA by IP address (can’t find)

BTW: I can ping ServerA fine.
What am I missing?
