can’t access WinNT 4.0 server!!!!

Recently, one of the server in my company running WinNT 4.0 is crashed and after doing the disaster recovery, other computers in the network can’t access the server but can browse it.The server is joining to same domain with other server which is running Windows 2000 that can access by other computers in the same domain also.Most of the client computers is running windows XP and few of them is running Windows 9x.Why others can access the windows 2000 server instead of WinNT server???
I have installed the active directory client into the WiNNT 4 server but still can’t solve the problem.I would appreciate if anyone can rectify this problem.
