can't access XP share from 2000 pro

By northwood ·
I have a workgroup LAN consisting of 2 computers
One computer is 2000 pro and the other is windows XP Pro.
From my 2000 computer, I am trying to access shares that are located on XP When ever I go into My Network Places, on the 2000 Pro computer, and then click on the XP computer icon I get a error message saying "Logon Failure, User account restriction".

How can I fix this logon failure so that I can access XP shares from a 2000 pro computer?

On the XP machine, you must creat a username / password combo that is used to logon to the 2000 machine. If no username matches up, you will not be able to get into the shared folder.

Good luck.
