Cant Browse after establishing a VPN

I have a windows 2000 server in a remote office which I copnfigured to connect to another office with a persistent VPN. After establishing the VPN, I cant browse the internet. On a XP box, there is a setting in the properties of the VPN connection, TCI/IP, that says ‘use default gateway on remote network’ which i uncheck in the XP enviorment. But on a Win2k Server the same setting us greyed out, but unchecked also. Any ideas?
