Can’t CHANGE network files

by sramo . Updated 17 years, 4 months ago

Hi, this is my problem:
I have user with a notebook with Vista Business, connected to network with domain. I can open any network location, like SAMBA fileserver, shared files on another computer, I can connect to any partition on any computer in network (with domain admin account of course). I can read, copy, create or delete files at these network places, but I can not MODIFY anything. I can’t rename files, even those newly created. I can open document, change it, but I can’t save it again.
Every time it shows me warning:

“Folder does not exist. Do you want to create it?” (Shortened version)
The name of the warning window (on the upper tab) is “Copy folder”. /That Vista is non-english, so I don’t know exact translation of these warning texts/

I’ve tried my domain account with administrative privileges, I’ve tried local administrator account on that computer, but without success. I have tested wi-fi connection, ethernet connection, the same. Every other computer on network works fine (I have also another laptops with Vista). Even this computer worked fine, coz another user was working on it for a month. I’ve tried to restore system (5 days ago, then month ago), but with no luck.
Maybe reinstall OS will be the fastest way, but I am one of these who just wanna know what happened.

So any suggestions what should I try?? Or simply reinstall? 🙂
