Can't connect to domain

Hi Techies,
Please help with this problem, i have a windows98 computer that was giving me some problem.so I clean the drive re-install win 98 and upgrade to win 2000 pro.but after doing that I can't connect to my domain server,in the device manager the enternet adapter has a yellow question mark should i install the device driver to enable network to work,if so where can i get a driver for it.when i try adding the computer to the network using network id the message .

please advise

Firstly, the question mark indicates a device driver conflict, it may be an interrupt request issue.

Remove and reinstall the card AND drivers.

I am not sure what your last couple of lines mean but if you can post the adapter type and model, I can help you find the right driver.

I would recommend removing the card and taking the name and number straight off the card itself, if you have the wrong drivers installed it will most likely be showing the wrong information the device manager.

I agree with the last reply, you have the wrong driver for the network card, open up the computer and get the manufacturer of the network card. Try www.driversguide.com , have to sign up for membership but its free. Been very useful to me.

this is netgear site. You should alway go to the manufactors site for the driver for the hardware.
That way you get the latest update.
