I am running XP Home SP2. Recently, windows crashed and I was forced to do a restore with the install disk. I chose the no format option, because I need to save “my doc” and “my pics” folder. XP installed successfully stating that my data would be saved onto my pc in a “my old data” folder on the c drive. When I try to view “my doc” from the Old data folder I get an error message that says, ” access denied”. I can view my pics folder, but I wanted to copy both of these folders onto a cdrw in case this happened again in the future. When I put in a blank CDRW and try to copy the folders, I get an error message that says that I can’t because the resource is in use. What is going on? How am I going to be able to save these folders on a disk?
