Can't create file error in Outlook

By spoynter ·
I have a situation where a user gets the following message when opening an attachment in Outlook 98. The attachment is a Word document (2000); the recipient is using Office 97:

Can't create file: [LETTER TITLE].doc. Right click the folder you want to create the file in, then click Properties on the Shortcut menu to check your permissions on the folder.

The folder that the file would be saved to is the c:\temp directory and seems to have all relevant permissions; yet the problem remains.
Any input is welcomed.
