Can’t enable high performance power plan on laptop w/ win10

I have been unable to enable the high performance power plan on my new ROG Strix laptop. I have tried restoring the default power plans, and this is what it shows:

    Existing Power Schemes (* Active)
    ———————————–
Power Scheme GUID: 27fa6203-3987-4dcc-**8d-748559d549ec (Performance) *
    Power Scheme GUID: 381b4222-f694-41f0-9685-ff5bb260df2e (Balanced)

How do I get high performance back? I have also tried using “powercfg -duplicatescheme 8c5e7fda-e8bf-4a96-9a85-a6e23a8c635c” & importing the POW file to no avail.

Enable Ultimate Power plan in windows 10

      If you can’t enable power plan in your system then try out to take the following actions;
      1. if you can’t see an ultimate power plan in your settings then add it to your system by using a quick command prompt or Powershell command. You can use the same command for any shell you want to use.
      2. Open the command prompt window by typing “cmd” in the search box.
      3. Right-Click on that window and select the option of “Run as an administrator.”
      4. Press “Window+X” and choose the “Windows Powershell (Admin) option.”
      5. Type/copy & paste the following command in the prompt window.

      powercfg -duplicatescheme e9a42b02-d5df-448d-aa00-03f14749eb61

      6. If you already have the Power Options window open then close that window prior to any action.
      7. After closing the window, reopen it before the plan appears on your screen but make sure that it should appear afterward.
      8. If you still don’t see the plan anymore then you should remove it from the settings.
      9. After removing it, switch to a new plan. You would run into errors if you would try to close your current plan.
      10. After that click on “Change Plan Settings” that linked to the right of the plan and then choose “Delete This Plan.”
Although, this ultimate power plan might not be helpful in some cases but it is useful in most of the cases.
