Cant find my cdrom/disk drive in "My Computer"

By Nikko4k ·
I'm not very computer literate, but some how I can't find my cdrom drive. In the device manager it says its working properly, and that its there but I can't seem to use it.

Any suggestions? All responses appreciated.

Try this

Click Start, Run, type diskmgmt.msc and press Enter.
Right-click on the CD drive in the list, and from the resulting menu select "Change Drive Letters and Paths" and allocate a drive letter.

Try to change the drive letter and paths of your cdrom, maybe its drive letter is assigned to any device example USB etc.

You can do this by going to your PC's Disk Management, its under Computer Management. Right your CD-ROM on Disk Management click Change Drive Letter and Paths...so on.
