We have an employee that dials into our server using RAS. She has Microsoft printer and file sharing turned on, and has her printer shared. We have the RAS dialin set to give a specific IP address at connection. Once connected we can PING her machine but are unable to find the IP address under START/FIND/COMPUTERS and are also unable to to use the NET USE command to assign an LPT port to her printer. We uninstalled and reinstalled the printer as well as turned off and back on printer sharing. With all of this we still can’t map her printer. When I run WINIPCFG on her machine I see she is using the subnet mask of 255.0.0.0 when we use 255.255.255.0. I can’t find a place to set that under dialup networking (I’m not sure it matters). Any help would be appreciated. P.S.-when I turned Windows printer sharing off on her computer, it didn’t ask for the CD when re-installing. Is there a way to remove it completely so that I can reinstall it off the CD?
