I have a system that gets an error when closing Word 97 documents. The error is either a Compile Error: Invalid Character or a “Can’t Fire Event” error. I have tried all the things on Microsoft’s site. the only thing that works is creating a new file and then inserting the old file into and resaving the new document. The documents that error do do error on other systems in the office. Any ideas or at least some help on explaination would be very much apprciated.
