Assuming you've tried removing all cookies..emptying the cache and clearing the history i cant see what the problem could be.have you tried accesing your mail from another computer?checked your security settings?it could be a problem with yahoo themselves id advise ringing thire helpline if none of the above work.

As an everyday user of Yahoo I know it's not a Yahoo Mail problem. Try accessing mail from the Yahoo home page (www.yahoo.com and then click Mail), NOT from the My Yahoo page. It may be a problem with the link specificically on the My Yahoo page.
(Although..I just tried it from My Yahoo and it worked fine)
You can also try using this direct link:

http://mail.yahoo.com/?.intl=us

BTW, did you do as "Viewitful Joe" said and clear out the Temporary Internet Files, History and Cookies?

I can get into mail from another computer, but I haven't placed another in my home to replace that one. I can get into www.my.yahoo.com but can't get into www.yahoo.com for some reason. I had been using the back door to get in lol I'm guessing now they changed the locks.

Two things I can think of. . . . .

by Keith Hailey In reply to Can't get into yahoo mail ...

First, you may have accidentally blocked the site.
Go to Internet Options either in the control panel or from your browser click on tools, Internet options.
Click on the Privacy tab.
Make sur the slider is set to medium (or what ever you normally use)
Click on the "Sites" button and look through the blocked sites and make sure that there are no Yahoo sites and if there are, right click on it and select allow. Then close the dialog box.

The second place to look, But Click on the security tab. Select restricted sites, then select sites. you will notice that whatever site you are looking at is in the input box, delete it or you will never go there again, either. now, scroll down to see if any yahoo sites are restricted. Make sure that if you allow it that it is spelled right (Not "yahaa" for instance).

close it up and try it again.

C'ya, Keith

Thanks! Clearing the blocked Sites worked for me!

by trumpetBlaster In reply to Two things I can think of ...

I took your advice and clicked on the "Sites" button. Although NO WEBSITES were listed, I typed in www.yahoo.com, Blocked it, then tried to Allow it. This failed, stating that yahoo.com was not a valid domain! I then clicked the Remove All button, and Ta Da! My email is fixed! Thanks for your good advice!

Can't login to Yahoo Mail

by stevedcfo In reply to Can't get into yahoo mail ...

I can get to Yahoo and see that I'm logged in and can see new mail but when I click on the mail icon in Safari it just never gets to the page. In Firefox i get the following error:

Server not found
Firefox can't find the server at us-mg5.mail.yahoo.com.
Check the address for typing errors such as
ww.example.com instead of
www.example.com
If you are unable to load any pages, check your computer's network
connection.
If your computer or network is protected by a firewall or proxy, make sure
that Firefox is permitted to access the Web.

I've verified I don't have any blocked sites and so forth.

Any Ideas?
