Can't Import Data From Access 2000

Currently,when I try to import data from Dbase 5 file in Access 2000 but it can't do it and appear an error "Unexpected error from external database driver (10019)".Why? What happen? Please Help! Thank You!

Most of the time it appears that there is faulty data in the DBase file. Date formatting or Null data.

Is this on a Win2K operating system?

If so, you can make registry modifications to by pass the built-in default security settings in Windows2000 that do not allow certain file types to be recognized.

I have found that a 2 step process will usually get around this type of problem.

(1) Import the db file into Excel
(2) Import the Excel file into Access
