I’m having a problem getting into the network, I uninstalled and reinstalled the network adapter and set everything up again with Network wizard. Under status it shows connected, speed 100Mbbps Activity sent 58 received -0- when I click on repair, It says the following steps of the repair operation failed renewing the IP address please contact your network adminstrator or ISP I turned off the firewall and I still couldn’t get it to log into the network. I rebooted computer and keep getting Cannot find server. I then ran cmd ipconfig /all and I get IP address 169.254.200.178 then release ipconfig /release and I get the same number knowing it should be all 0’s then ipconfig /renew and it say An error occurred while renewing interface Local Area Conection 2= An operation was attempted on something that is not a socket. But when I disconnect it from the computer it says A network cable is unplugged so what’s the verdict how do I fix it.
