Question

Locked

Can't Log-Off

By e-maleus ·
When I go to "Log Off",or enter the command to shut down...My computer starts a normal shut down process. It
then, right when it would normally close, a screen pops up! This screen
states that my pc has malfunctioned
and it is saving this and that. Then
before I can read anymore of it,it
goes dead for a few secs then it starts a new start up.Just as if I
had started it from scratch...
Can anybody help?

More information would be appreciated

Laptop/notebook computers are notorious for squirrely behavior when they get hot. If this is a laptop/notebook, and the malfunction occurs after it's been in use for >20 minutes, then air circulation (rather, lack of it) is the likely culprit.

If this is a desktop computer, then the first question I would ask is whether you are running antivirus software. If yes, disable this application and see if the glitch persists. If this resolves the problem, you have identified the culprit.

So please post back in this thread with as much relevant information as you can provide, and I'm sure you'll get more advice than you bargained for...
