Can't login to NT domain

By James Schroer ·
I have a problem with two Win 95 machines loging in to our NT domain. This has just started today. No matter who logs in it gives the error "The password you supplied is not correct, or access to your logon server has been denied." We can logon anywhere else and it works fine. Any hints, ideas?

Can't login to NT domain

by gutridgesj In reply to Can't login to NT domain

here are some ideas:

can any of these people log in to other machines?

can this machine "see" the PDC/BDC by pinging the name or IP address at the dos prompt?

can other pc's "see" this pc by pinging name or ip adress?

is this PC have a dupe ip address with another?

delete all the .pwl files from the pc and then try to log on.

is there now an nt policy that says this pc cannot login?

1. Yes they can login at a different computer.
2. Yes the pc can ping both the PDC/BDC with the IP address and Name
3. Yes other pc's can see this one
4. No, it doesn't have a duplicit address. We use a DHCP and also tried a static IP.
5. Deleted all .PWLs
6. No policies in place.

More info: We are using a Novell server as a primary server. We can login fine using IP to the novell server. We also tried to remove the Novell Client and used only the Microsoft client and the same thing happens. We also tried to change the NIC and that didn't work. When we browse the network all we see is the Novell side no Microsoft things. When we search for a NT server we can find it but it will not let us access it. Any more ideas?
