Can't Logon ?

By golee77 ·
Hi, I use an XP Pro laptop with a docking station that connects to a Windows 2000 AD environment. When I shut down the computer and use it as stand-alone, Logging in has worked fine. Username, Password, Domain is displayed and I simply type in my password and (I presume it pulls up the local profile) and it lets me in...... until yesterday. Now when I am not connected to the network, it will not allow me to log-in. "No Domain available". What has changed ??? Thanks !

humm possibly a change in log on locally permissions under control panel, admin tools, local security policy, user rights assignments.

BUT, normally if CTL+ALT+DEL requirement for log on is enabled AND your computer is a member of a domain, you have the option [there's an options button on the log on screen] to log on to the domain or locally. gotta choose which one.
