This one really stumps me. I have 2 PC’s. PC1 is running W2K Server, PC2 is running W2K Pro (a client on the W2K Server’s Domain). They are both connected to an SMC “Barricade” Router. The router plays as the DHCP server for both the server and the client. Here’s where it get’s odd.
I can map a drive to the server and access resources, however, when I try to map a drive to the client from the server, it tries to connect and then says “A unexpected error occured while attempting to connect tothe network resource”.
The drive is shared.
The permissions are set.
I can Ping the PC2 from PC1 it even returnes the computer name when I Ping -a.
I can see it when I Browse Network Neighborhood.
If I Netview I see it, but and I can’t Net Use.
I’m thinking I have WINS setup correctly. I even looked into the LMHOSTS file.
What else should I be looking into? Did I miss somthing?
