Can't Map to NT Server

By schoing ·
I have a user who logs in through client 2.5 netware. The environment is mixed with novell and Nt servers. I can ping the NT server and get the reply but when I go to map the the a drive to the server, it says domain name not found. I'm sure the name I typed was correct. Another thing the machine has switched from token ring to ethernet and the subnet mask has changed because of that.
why can't I map a drive to the Nt Server?

You can NOT map a drive to just the server. You have to create a shared directory or directories on that server then you will be able to map to the directories.

If you try to map just to the server, you will get a message saying that the server or sharename could not be found.

The frame type for your NIC may be incorrect. For instance ,802.3 Ethernet, 802.5 Token Ring. Check the properties of your NIC and change the frame type to 802.3 .. This should fix the problem.
