Hope someone can help. I’m trying to help a freind get back online. She uses Thomson 330 usb modem to connect to broadband but it has stopped working. OS is XP home. Device manager shows the device but says no driver is loaded. When we try update driver with the driver cd in, it doesn’t update. Removing device makes no difference either. Using the interface from the broadband install cd doesn’t work as when it asks to uninstall the current driver (device manager says their isn’t one) it says that it cannot uninstall the current driver – which stops us from installing the driver fresh from the cd. The modem itself is not the problem as we tried an identical one from someone else. Seems to be we can’t get the driver installed.
Also there is a message on startup sayin “Motive Chorus Client has encountered a fatal error – contact your administrator” Don’t know how to fix this one either.
